New Delhi, Feb 21: Tech Giant Google has launched Google Pay, it's new payment service that consolidates Google Wallet and Android Pay, exclusively for Android clients. The mobile application intends to give quick and easy checkout for shopping and other payments.
The app has adaptations for Chrome and Assistant in the pipeline according to a blog post by Google.
The payment app is classified into a number of segments in which each segment caters different functions. The Home tab of Google Pay gives information regarding recent purchases by the users, nearby shops, hassle-free access to rewards, and other necessary tips.
The Cards tab assists the user to build the checkout window and keeps the credit and debit card details of the user as well as the customer's loyalty programs and offers. Certain properties have also been used to incorporate transit services in selected nations.
Strong safety features have been implemented to keep user account details and personal data safe from a security breach.
Pali Bhat, Google's vice president of product management of payments, in his blog post had announced in January that its culminated payment platform, Google Pay, will be brought to users of its Unified Payments Interface (UPI)-integrated mobile payments platforms, 'Tez', in India.
Google Pay has already been rolled out on Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, and Instacart, among other apps and websites.
